Job Title:   Sales and Marketing Manager

Purpose of Job: Responsible for maximising the sales potential and achieving sales budgets of the hotel.

Responsible to: General Manager

Location:  Dublin City Centre

Salary: €55,000

Main Duties: 

  • Plan and direct day to day operation of the sales & marketing function to ensure maximum revenue & profitability and provide potential and existing clients with the highest level of sales service
  • Plan & implement annual marketing expenditure per hotel with sales & marketing team focussing on overall business
  • Executive quarterly activity plans to create focus for the team and adapt activity to support business needs of the hotel
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key global corporate clients through ongoing account management
  • Perform day to day sales activity including face to face meetings, contracting & rate negotiation, site inspections, attendance at trade events, client entertainment and overseas sales trips.  Client entertaining/site inspections may require evening & weekend hours.
  • To deal with CCD client enquiries from initial quotations, following-up to contract stage, ensuring the highest standard of customer satisfaction
  • Develop and nurture client relationships within the conference segment through conference agencies and for domestic & international tour operators
  • Report monthly on account performance to General Manager and Central Office
  • Utilisation of  CRM for logging all sales activity & measurement of KPI’s
  • Weekly & Monthly monitoring of GDS business and completion of all relevant RFP’s
  • Input to hotel pricing strategy and forecasting with General Manager and Revenue Manager
  • Manage hotel advertising & promotional campaigns in conjunction with sales team for the hotel
  • Produce hotel printed promotional material including brochures, flyers, special offers, posters, tent cards etc. as required, always following Group brand guidelines
  • To protect and promote the image of Clayton Hotels and Dalata Hotel Group brands at all times, both in print and verbally
  • Ensure sales team as relevant assist F&B teams with necessary sales & marketing activity
  • Identify key competitors and carry out regular competitor analysis, monitoring their performance, rates and sales activity
  • To be fully aware of the main market developments and other factors that would influence business or create favourable market conditions.
